Early works
初期の作品を紹介します。具象彫刻から始めて、早い時期に抽象彫刻を手がけました。途中、芸術学の研究者を目指し、制作を中断していました。西ドイツ留学やベルリンでの研究は、バウハウス研究を目指したものでした。制作を再開して初めての作品が新制作展に入選し、2作目の作品がヘンリー・ムーア大賞展で上野の森美術館賞を受賞することが出来ました。その後、大学でバウハウスの造形理論や立体造形を教えながら、彫刻制作を続けて来ました。
I will introduce my early works. I started with realistic sculpture and worked on abstract sculpture early on. On the way, I was aiming to become a researcher in art studies, and I was interrupting production. Studying in Germany were aimed at Bauhaus research. For the first time after resuming production, the first work was selected for the Shinseisaku exhibition, and the second work was awarded the Ueno Royal Museum Award at the Henry Moore Grand Prize Exhibition. After that, I continued to make sculptures while teaching Bauhaus theory and sculpture at university.
